Eco Coir has four locations in the southern part of Tamilnadu close to the Tuticorin port. Each factory has well built infrastructure in terms of building, machinery and drying yards. From storage to handling all the operations are carried out on concrete floors under hygienic conditions. Each factory has an area of about 10 ha, with a capacity to produce 75,000 Cu.M of substrates per annum. Each factory has a covered built up area of 2500 sq.M for production and storage. Concrete drying yards and washing bunkers cover an area of 25,000 Sq.M. All the factories have fully equipped laboratory and managed by technically competent team. We also have warehouses (3000 sq.m) near the port (Tuticorin) for storage and handling of our shipments.

All the factories work according to the Dutch based RHP system. Raw material is stored for a minimum ageing period on clean Concrete floors and then taken for processing. Washing is done in specially designed bunkers. Based on the requirement, different quality products Washed, Buffered or pH stabilized Coir are produced. Drying is done on concrete floors under protected conditions. The dried material is then segregated into different sieve fractions based on product specifications. The graded materials are then compressed as Bales, Bricks or Grow bags with different combination ratio of Coir Pith, Coir Crush/Chips and Coir Fibre. We also produce substrate mixes in wet form with the combination of Perlite and other additives. The cargo is then packed according to the requirements as floor loaded, palleted or bundled and loaded on to containers for Export or Domestic market.
